JOB PURPOSE
The Direct Sales agent will be responsible for prospecting, raising insurance product awareness and generation of leads that will ultimately lead to attainment of revenue goals through collection of insurance premiums.
2.     MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS

Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:

  • Attend periodic product training and role induction as a foundation to understand company culture and product/service offering.
  • Prospect the potential customer segment through referrals, research, networking and past contacts.
  • Implement differentiated selling and marketing strategies intended on generating revenue and enhancing brand reputation.
  • Become a brand ambassador for the company by upholding company values and effective brand positioning.
  • Practice solution-based selling by understanding the clients’ needs, communicating the same internally and creating competitive and relevant products.
  • Conduct market intelligence through networks, research and industry knowledge; that will assist in product enhancement and client satisfaction.
  • Cross-sell insurance products, conduct consumer awareness/ customers’ sensitization initiatives while supporting clients with claims advice and documentation.
  • Lead generation and efficient client onboarding through constant follow-ups and ongoing feedback to concerned parties.
  • Quality and timely submission of sales reports as per prescribed expectations.
  • Work closely with the supervisors to ensure the department meets the set targets for the insurance business.
  • Provide advisory services on relevant insurance policies for businesses/ clients.

3.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role:
•        Relevant professional certification in a business-related field. A Degree will be an added advantage.

•        At least 2 years of sales experience in the financial services sector.

•        Good knowledge of general insurance products and working knowledge of life insurance.

•        Good proficiency in the use of MS Office software applications.

•        Results oriented and self-driven with a proven performance track record.
